He was sent to the 457th after May of 1944.Found out my dads little group had 3 planes and 7 people.These people flew every 7 mission.Only one plane went up at a time fully loaded for bomb runs.They installed before each mission a special radar detection device and sat opposite the radio operator.The plane was stationed on outside edge about fourth level back in the formation.Might have had same crew a couple of different times,he can't remember.One person he does remember is a Lt. Bill Rice,who went on to become a Col.From what he tells,not many people knew what their job was.All was very hush-hush about the gear being installed.More so than the Pathfinder.Trying to get names of buddies of his that were lost.
