Sir, Does anyone remember my realitive SGT Marrion Ross who served as a left waist gunner in the 758th Bomber Squadron, 457th Bomber Group? He was from Jackson, Ohio. His plane 42-31517 went down on the 4th mission for Augsburg over France. The pilot was KIA, his name was Lt. Chinn. SGT Marrion Ross' remains were never found. There were three survivors on his B-17, 2 who were captured as prisoners of war, Lt. McNichol the Navigator and SGT Peragine the Aircraft Engineer, and one who evaded capture, Lt. Vollmouth the Bombardier. SGT Marrion Ross name is placed on the tablets of missing at Luxembourg Cemetery. Thanks and God Bless for all your Service to our Nation.CH(CPT) Kevin B.
