Christmas Eve - 1944

Merry Christmas Eve - My dad, Nick was a ball turret gunner with the Lt. Salo crew. They flew 35 missions between August 1944 and January, 1945. Today I looked at my dad's "mission diary" he kept and note the following as he had written: " 26th Mission, Target, Dec 24th (Christmas Day Eve) " Koblenz," Light Flak, Front Lines." Their plane, "Thats My Baby" brought them home safe and sound. Merry Christmas to all, especially the 457th.
