This is an open posting to anyone who knew my grandfather, T/Sgt. Charles T. Darnell, crewman of plane #43-38181, which was shot down during mission #128 over Magdeburg, Germany on 28 Sept., 1944. I have been in contact with Joe Toth and Russell Auten, both fine men, who have helped me immensely. Any one who can share a story about my Grandfather please drop me a line. Me being born in 1962, I never knew him. Happy Holidays to all.
