Dear Betty ... I'm not certain (but pretty certain) that you are in the right Church ... but in the wrong pew. Your posting states your Uncle was a Ball Turret Gunner with the 8th Air Force, 447th Bomb Group. I've checked The 457th Bomb Group Roster of Airmen and there is no listing of a S/Sgt Paul G. Boles.
