I waa in the 750th when Lt. Col. Smith was the Squadron Commander.
I flew two missions with him...(Not in the same plane)...mission # 107 August 11 to Brest and mission # 116 August 30 to Kiel Germany.
I would guess that you have already seen the picture of him on the 750th Squadrion Home page and read the short statement about him. And yes, he was quite the character
