Hi,
My name is Kathleen and my oldest son Ed was THE 311 fan. He just loved their music....On Jan. 13, 2007 I lost Ed in a tragic car/pedestrian accident. He was 18 for just 6 days. Now I find myself playing and really getting into 311's music. A very good friend of his got up at the service at the funeral home and sang 'Amber'. He said that it was one of Ed's favorite songs. It was the most awesome tribute to him. When I needed Ed to take me somewhere I would ask him to put that song on all the time. He had one of those car stereos that was so loud my insides would vibrate ! and you could hear him coming from down the street. lol He loved to listen to 311 in his car.
He also did many drayings of the 311 logo. He even made one, 3-d, at school with some computer program...It is one of my treasures.
Now I am listening and loving their talent.
I guess I don't really know why I am posting this note, except that Ed loved their music so much, I just wanted to tell someone who would understand I guess.
I love my son so very much. I miss him terribly.
I will continue to be a 311 fan in his place.
